Common Questions - Communications

No. To be listed in the directory, you need to log-in to the PTA Website and opt-in to the directory.

Tuesday Mail is the weekly email newsletter published by the PTA. It is sent through the Membership ToolKit (MTK) database. If you are not receiving it, check the "How do I change my preferred email address" question. Tuesday Mail is intended to convey pertinent information about school and PTA happenings. Did you miss last week's? An archive can be found here https://baywoodpta.membershiptoolkit.com/newsletters. Occasionally, the PTA will send a "Friday Flash" or a stand alone message which is typically a reminder about an upcoming event or deadline.

There are two distinct ways families will be reached. The School District uses "School Messenger" to deliver emails and phone calls directly from Mrs. Driscoll and Ms. Robert. The PTA relies on information in the (Membership ToolKit) to disseminate its Tuesday Mail and other direct emails. Information was imported at the beginning of the year from the District's database but families are able to change their preferred email addresses directly by logging into the PTA Website. Doing so, however, will not change the contact information in the School District database. See "How do I change my preferred email address" for instructions. Other means of communication include the school website (http://baywood.smfcsd.net) and the PTA website (http://baywoodpta.org).

The school messages are sent through School Messenger. To change the primary address for School Messenger, send an email to Mrs. Laughlin (llaughlin@smfcsd.net) from your preferred email address and be sure to include your child's FIRST and LAST name. Mrs. Laughlin will change your address in the system. To change the primary address for all PTA correspondence such as Tuesday Mail, write to Directory@baywoodpta.org.

There is a "Community" section that includes links. Your daughter's gymnastics provider can send a link to Communications@baywoodpta.org for inclusion in the Community section.

Yes and No. Becoming a Corporate Sponsor of our annual Spring Auction provides great exposure to our Baywood community as sponsors names are highlighted in the emails and on our Auction website. But, no, we do not sell advertising space directly in our email newsletters.

There is a password protected on-line directory available on the PTA Website. In addition, you can access the full directory by downloading the app MTK Mobile onto your mobile devices (iOS & Android). That being said, some families choose not to list their personal information in the directory.
